The product itself is great, although the shiny screen does get a lot of fingerprints on it but are easily wiped off. Windows 8 works great with the touchscreen, but I have heard from many that touchscreen is essential to running Windows 8, but I feel that it works either way, with a mouse or touch, just as easily. Of course, this is new to me, and I have not experienced everything that Windows 8 has to offer.

I love the nice design and the ease of use of this machine. It is a big upgrade from my netbook and much fasteer than the Dell with Windows XP that I have to use at work. At first the touchscreen, worked very well. Then I added the mouse and that worked with the touch screen, but when I added the wireless keyboard the touchscreen stopped working. So for a few days I would use either the mouse or the keyboard, never the three input methods at once. This was at home where I had access to wireless service. Took the machine on campus (I work at a university) where all three methods worked nicely together (please note I do not have wireless capabilities in my office) however once I plugged in the Lan cable, the touch screen stopped working. This called for a complete restore to factory settings - less than 1 month after receiving the product. Apparently Windows 8 does not seem to work well on a Windows 7 network.
Since the reset, the product works well with all three input methods operating at the same time. Should there be other issues later I will update as necessary. In general I think that the machinery is fine, the software might be something else.

Great screen size, Great PC, Great Sound, still figuring out all the features. Had a problem downloading MS Office after I purchased called HP Support and they were WONDERFUL!! Touchsmart feature helps navigate quicker, the wireless keyboard and mouse is terrific as it is an All-in-One, there is only one cord and that's to plug it in. I only had it for a month, but am loving it, best investment made.
